I received my Ijazah (a certificate with a continuous chain all the way to the prophet S.A.W) in Tajweed and in the memorization of the Holy Qur’an in the Riwayah Hafs (رواية حفص), I then furthered my studies and received my Ijazah in Riwayah Shua’bah (رواية شعبة ) and a few others. I studied the Tajweed and the Makharij of the Holy Qur’an from well known books in Egypt such as Al-Muqaddimatul Jazariyah (المقدمة الجزرية), TuhfatulAtfal (تحفة الطفال) and Al-Burhan in the Tajweed of Qur’an (البرهان في تجويد القرآن) amongst many others. I travelled from England to Egypt only for the purpose of Islamic knowledge. A land where the famous Qur’raa (reciters of the Qur’an) come from.
I was blessed to have studied Qur’an and Arabic for many years in Egypt.
